As a child, I remember him saying that sometimes you have to be &#8220;hard-nosed&#8221;. I smile as I realize that I thought the saying had something to do exclusively with his nose. You see, my dad had a real schnoz.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1560\" src=\"https:\/\/jameswmfrank.commemoratemylife.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Earle-Frank-Revere.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"613\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1561\" src=\"https:\/\/jameswmfrank.commemoratemylife.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Earle-Frank-Revere-LR-1956.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"594\" height=\"608\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I realize also that his hard nose policy got him through many things in life, including a handicapped child, cancer, divorce at 80 years of age. Whether it worked for him in all life situations is a good question.
